El Dúo Villa-Lobos, integrado por la violonchelista venezolana Cecilia Palma y el guitarrista, compositor, arreglista y director colombiano Edwin Guevara, celebra 22 años de existencia. Se conformó en 2003 cuando sus integrantes estudiaban en el Conservatorio Superior de Música Liceu de Barcelona y durante su trayectoria, esta agrupación ha realizado conciertos en importantes salas de Europa, Estados Unidos y América del Sur.
Se interpretarán obras que diferentes compositores, como Leo Brower, Blas Emilio Atehortúa, Gabriel Estarellas, Carlos Lora Falquez, Andrés Sánchez, y el mismo Edwin Guevara, les han dedicado al grupo. Entre ellas están el ‘Divertimento a dos’, la última obra escrita por Atehortúa, y dos estrenos mundiales: ‘La mandrágora’ de Carlos Lora Falquez y ‘Jugueteando’ de Andrés Sánchez.
¿Por qué asistir a este concierto?
- Esta será la celebración de los 22 años del Dúo Villa-Lobos, uno de los dúos de violonchelo y guitarra más estables desde la conformación de este tipo de agrupación de cámara y una referencia a nivel mundial.
