El Festival de Música del Pacífico Petronio Álvarez, que se realiza anualmente en Cali (Colombia), es el festival de cultura afro más grande de Latinoamérica.
Como es tradición, el lanzamiento nacional de este poderoso festival se celebra cada año en Bogotá con la presentación de las cuatro agrupaciones ganadoras de la edición anterior, quienes son las encargadas de representar y poner a vibrar la capital del país con la magia de su ancestralidad y los sonidos de las modalidades: Marimba y Cantos Tradicionales, Chirimía de Clarinete, Chirimía de Flauta, Violín Caucano y Agrupación Libre.
