El Cine Concierto del BIFF nace de la relación entre el cine silente de nuestro patrimonio fílmico universal y la música compuesta especialmente por los integrantes de la Asociación Colombiana de Compositores de Música para Cine MUCINE. Así, la música original es interpretada en vivo por alguna de las agrupaciones de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá mientras se proyecta una película clásica.

El evento, organizado conjuntamente con la Fundación Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano, es ya un referente de la actualidad cultural del continente.
