¿Por qué asistir a este concierto?
SONAR es un ejemplo de la vanguardia sonora en la escena del rock y el jazz europeo.
Sus integrantes provienen de diferentes disciplinas, como el performance, la ingeniería de software y las matemáticas: esto se refleja en su sonido.
Su música se basa en una afinación poco convencional de las guitarras, a partir de tritonos.
Este cuarteto suizo nació en Zurich en 2010, cuando dos guitarristas, Stephan Thelen y Bernhard Wagner, comenzaron a explorar la singularidad y la mística sonora de sus guitarras afinadas especialmente en trifonos. Luego, con la integración del bajista Christian Kuntner y el baterista Manuel Pasquinelli, el grupo creó un estilo propio a partir del rock minimalista e influencias de Steve Reich, Glenn Branca y King Crimson con Adrian Belew. Las guitarras interpretan riffs y secuencias melódicas a partir de afinaciones especiales, y se crean arcos de suspense y paisajes sonores estructurados. Una muestra de la vanguardia sonora de la escena de jazz-rock de Suiza.
