Bajo ese espíritu, ha asumido la creación a partir de pretextos siempre distintos, con el objeto de romper sus esquemas de representación y propiciar la búsqueda de lenguajes diversos. Como reconocimiento a su trabajo, para la celebración de sus 25 años Umbral Teatro recibió en el 2016 la Medalla al mérito del Ministerio de Cultura.
