La obra ‘Bryophyllum’ nace del ambiente durante la pandemia de covid-19 en el que se hace necesario el uso de mascarillas para habitar en sociedad, mientras acecha el desastre ecoambiental acecha. La obra es un diálogo entre la danza contemporánea, la música, el videomapping y el arte plástico, que propone una metáfora escénica sobre la vida y la muerte como actos simbólicos de evolución. Además, 'Bryophyllum' se inspira en el concepto de la obra escultórica del artista Leo Carreño, y en su hibridación de objetos cotidianos y antropomórficos con especies vegetales para lanzar una pregunta: ¿Qué pasaría si esta hibridación vegetal se presenta en la humanidad?
La compañía La Multiverse nació en 2019 bajo la dirección de la coreógrafa y bailarina Leidy Ángélica Roa, quien se unió al artista plástico Leo Carreño y al compositor Nicolás Soto, junto a otro grupo de artistas de amplia trayectoria. Es un espacio que plantea una nueva mirada a las artes escénicas desde el diálogo interdisciplinar de áreas como la danza, la música, el performance, las artes visuales y la escultura, entre otras, junto con algunos conceptos que provienen de la física y las ciencias.
